Brockway

Like The Flooring Studio, Brockway is a family run business. They believe strongly in British craftsmanship. Embedded in their workforce is the expertise of generations of carpet makers: many of today’s Brockway employees are the sons and daughters of previous staff, and the skilled recipients of knowledge and experience passed down through the years.

Brockway work with industry leading designers and colourists to stay one step ahead of consumer preferences, and conduct regular research with spinners, yarn suppliers and our retailers to monitor trends. They work closely with machine manufacturers and invest on a regular basis in technology which will help us create a better product, more efficiently.

Nothing escapes the eagle eyes of Brockway’s highly trained production personnel and quality control staff, and all carpets are hand-finished once they leave the machine to make sure that they reach the high standard of quality required for a Brockway carpet.

Anta

ANTA’s rugs and carpets are made from flat-woven carpet, a type of traditional flooring revived by Anta in the 1980s.

The carpet was developed after Lachlan Stewart had conducted an architectural survey of the MacLeod’s famous Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye. There he discovered a fragment of heavy flat-weave tweed that had been made long ago by the tenants of the MacLeod-owned island of St Kilda in the Outer Hebrides. It was made in lieu of rent and used to carpet the castle. This fragment of wonderfully coloured flat-weave inspired Annie Stewart to make the first of the ANTA carpets.

ANTA have been making these carpets ever since, using wool sourced from the Western Isles, and developed a wide range of designs that work well in both historical and contemporary interiors.

ANTA’s pure wool carpet is coated with Teflon.  This provides a level of stain resistance and makes it easier to clean.

We stock, sell, supply, & fit ANTA’s products in Bridge of Allan and throughout Central Scotland.
